Brainline Learning World is looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join the Brainline Team as the Receptionist at the Umhlanga branch in KwaZulu-Natal.


The successful candidate will be an ambassador for Brainline by making guests, students and visitors feeling welcome; whether it is by receiving them at the branch, or by answering telephone calls and e-mails.


As the receptionist, you will perform various front desk, administrative and general duties. This includes, but are not limited to, the list below.


Job Description:

  • Answer incoming telephone calls, determines the purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel and departments.
  • Provide telephonic support to clients and or students with various Brainline services and applications.
  • Greet visitors/guests/students professionally, determining the nature and purpose of visit and direct them to the appropriate destination.
  • Monitors security and visitors’ access.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as collect, sort, distribute and prepare correspondence, mail, messages and courier deliveries.
  • Receive payments, record receipts for services and handle and reconcile all petty cash daily.
  • Opens and closes the branch as and when required.
  • Support the mission, vision and core values of Brainline Learning World.



  • Education: At least a passing Grade 12 National Senior Certificate.
    1 – 2 years’ experience in an educational environment are preferred.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with high level of interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent talent to interact with people in a positive and courteous manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks according to importance in a fast paced environment.
  • Multi-tasking capability without compromising on quality.
